How Much Shilajit Should You Take? A Dosage Guide

More isn't better. Here's the proper dosage of Shilajit resin for daily use, plus when to take it for the best results.

One of the most common questions we get: how much Shilajit should I actually take?

The standard daily dose For most healthy adults, the typical daily dose is **300–500mg of pure resin** — roughly the size of a small pea or grain of rice. Start at the low end and gradually increase if needed.

How to take it 1. Scoop a pea-sized amount with the included spoon (or a clean toothpick) 2. Dissolve it in 4–6 oz of warm water, milk, or tea (not boiling) 3. Stir until fully dissolved — the liquid should turn golden-brown 4. Drink on an empty stomach in the morning for best absorption

When NOT to take more More Shilajit doesn't mean better results. Over 1g per day can cause mild digestive discomfort or excessive iron intake. Stick to the recommended dose.

Cycling Some users take Shilajit 5 days on, 2 days off, or 3 weeks on / 1 week off. There's no hard rule, but cycling can help maintain sensitivity to its effects.

Who should avoid it Pregnant or nursing women, children, people with hemochromatosis (iron overload), and anyone on medication should consult a doctor first.
